Aviva on Safety
Talking about a friend serving in Afghanistan:
Aviva: Does he have kids?
Aviva: Well that's not safe.
Aviva: Because if he dies it can't go on.
Ben: What can't go on?
Aviva: That kind of person -- that grow of relation. But if he had kids, it could go on.

That's an interesting take... I am so unsafe! :-)
whoa. so according to Aviva, it's safe for me to die now?
It's kind of an old-testament kind of safety...
just out of curiosity, how many children is Aviva planning on having?
I checked. She says four, two boys and two girls.
If this comes to define "safe sex" for the 21st century, we are going to have a problem with over population. :o) But the people in charge of the AHV will be thrilled.
Does he have nieces or nephews?
Good thought. I will check with Aviva whether nieces and nephews count for the grow of relation.
For non-Swiss readers, the AHV Susan mentions is like US Social Security, and the Swiss, like much of Europe, are running out of people.
